Cible Skin is a story of vision and family legacy led by Dr. Joël Aknin, a renowned plastic surgeon, and his son, Dr. Raphaël Aknin, a pharmacy expert in skin immunology.

Over ten years ago, this scientific adventure was born from a shared ambition: to reverse cellular aging and rejuvenate the biological age of the skin.

In the laboratories of a biotechnology company, Dr. Raphaël Aknin, then a research director, embarked on the development of regenerative treatments to strengthen and repair the skin of patients undergoing chemotherapy.

By exploring the link between the skin’s immune system and cellular regeneration, he made a major discovery: activating the skin’s immune system can reduce its biological aging.

Back in France, he shared this discovery with his father. Together, by combining their expertise in aesthetic surgery and skin immunology, they created the first science of skin longevity.

Our patented 1-LGVTY® technology rejuvenates the biological age of the skin by addressing the 3 main factors of skin aging:

Chronic Inflammation

1-LGVTY® significantly reduces inflammatory cytokines responsible for redness and irritation

Inflammation is a multi-step process: an acute phase in which the inflammatory molecule Interleukin IL-1a is produced, followed by a chronic phase in which interleukin IL-6 is secreted.

The 1-LGVTY® technology, tested on ex vivo human skin explants, can:

reduce IL-1a production by 100% after stress (UV + Pollution)
reduce IL-6 production by 100% after the same stress

A balanced microbiome results in beneficial exchanges between the good bacteria of the skin and the epidermis. In cases of skin imbalance, antimicrobial peptides are secreted by the skin. The 1-LGVTY® technology can reduce the production of the predominant antimicrobial peptide, beta-defensin-2, by 66% in skin explants stressed by UV and pollution.
